My teacher allowed me to use his liquid nitrogen,so I tried to make a cloud chamber that can detect cosmic radiation. But it didn't work very well.I only see less than 10 trace in 20 minutes. Most of the time I only see a lot of mist.Whats wrong?
My setup:

Most of existing design I found on google use dry ice.Is it possible to use liquid nitrogen?

i've read that you can use a stack of peltier coolers to make a more permanently cooled version. liquid nitrogen works fine though. try putting something radioactive in your chamber to see more traces.
