I want to build something that can charge my cell phone(USB) using a singel cell lipo battery.
I use MC34063. My schemetic and PCB design was found here
In my circuit, R1 is 910 ohm, R2 is 2.7K ohm ,Ct is 470pF, Co is 2200pF,R is 180ohm,L is 16uH(20 turns of litz wire on CS102060 toroid core,measured with LC meter)
I use a power supply set at 3V as power source. Without load ,I get 4.8V,But when I connect a 18ohm resistor as load,I only get 3.3V
I tried to connect bigger inductor(200uH),the output rise a little bit, but still less than 4V.
modify to obtain suitable parts values. What did you pick for R_sense?
ps. just saw that the calculation spits out invalid peak switch current. Use 0.35A for calculations since the peak switch current rating is 1.5A for one MC34063.
