I have built an ZVS flyback driver (Mazzilli Driver). It worked great but yesterday I wanted to put the ZVS in a plastic box with a big heatsink .
After i did this the right mosfet always gets very hot when i draw arcs for some seconds. The left one stays cool. I think i got a short circuit anywhere.
I measured the zener diodes , the fast diodes and the mosfets , but all seems to be OK .
I really don't know what it could be , so i dont really want to change the mosfet.

I think your driver not have any short circuit “the right mosfet always gets very hot†Reason should be On your way to the transformer primary winding imbalance in the fault so You can check whether your primary balance Perhaps this is one reason
But I don't think so because finally it worked before i put the zvs in the box . While this time i never touched my fbt , so it couldnt come from a inbalanced primary but i'll check the windings

If this is the case i think there may be a diode in the transformer led to its Magnetic field offset maybe you can try replacing the transformer without a diode
