I installed a Pioneer DEH-1300 aftermarket head unit in my car. it has two RCA amplifier pre-outs <-- (it's the red and white RCA outputs).
Anyway I hooked up an old dvd player with an integrated 6 channel amp and wired the rca outputs on the HU to the rca inputs on the dvd player but I don't get any sound out of the speakers hooked up to the dvd player, even when I max the dvd players volume. However, the dvd player works fine when it's hooked up to the tv or some other audio source and a regular subwoofer amplifier works fine when hooked up to the pre-outs on the HU.
I just can't figure out why it won't work how I want it to. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Do I need a Hi-Low Converter?
EDIT EDIT: Well it works now so I guess it was just hooked up wrong or something before?
