Hello all! This will be my first largish Tesla coil so I'm quite excited! Here's the specs:

Primary Coil: 13.8" Diameter, .25" copper tubing, .75" spacing, 5.5 turns
Secondary Coil: 7.8" Diameter, 27.5" length, Fo loaded approx ~70khz
Top-load: Probably going with 6" ducting with 24" outer diameter, wood filler and Alu tape method
Primary Capacitor: CDE caps, 8 strings in parallel two per string(16) for 4kv at .6uf
Switching IGBT: CM300 halfbridge, With 130VAC doubled on the bus prob around 480VDC
Over current set around 600-700Apk
Driver board is by Chris King, May be using "Predikter" like setup for ZC prediction.

Slighty overcoupled... I might even be saying that it is insanely overcoupled :)

The base is not yet finished i will be adding a HDPE table tapped in the center with a nylon rod that can be used to adjust coupling, it will be higher perhaps where the last secondary turn meets the top primary turn. As for the variac i believe its a bit overkill, i'd love to know how to pull 20+ Amps from single phase 120VAC outlet... confused

If that's one of those sketchy Chinese variacs it won't be overkill; a 30A Chinese variac will not happily do 30A.
If it is a nice American brand, ignore what I just said.

I wish I could have an audio modulated coil... my SGTC itself is a failcoil.
