I'm attempting to get SP2 working on a Mesh 7321 laptop (Athlon M, 384 MB RAM), running XP Home. SP2 failed to install, so I used fixdb.bat, a script which stops and restarts cryptographic services obtained from:
SP2 installed successfuly, however the PC kept rebooting during the Windows loading procedure. I then ran system restore from safe mode. The result was that it now reboots itself in any boot mode, including safe mode.

Generally the remedy for these problems is to bust out the original install cd and try again... So long as you get sp2 on before you install anything else you should not have any problems... You did backup all data before starting, right?
Beyond that... do you think that you can put in a linux livecd and get the log files from the sp2 install...
