Yay, it's finished!
EDIT: This probably should have gone on the project thread, oh well It was made in a day with stuff I had so it's definitey not perfect. If you have anything I could add to make it better please leave a comment

I needed a good heatsink for my mosfets that I use for my plasma speaker because they were cheap and get hot quite, fast, even at 12v. I'm hoping to be able to put 50v through the flyback without the fets blowing so I looked at what I had and went from there. The best part is that I can take it all apart if I need to, Nothing's permanent. There is also a pump for the cooling system that I made but it's not shown.

Oh hey, i got a bunch of xbox heatsinks and fans from a friend, are these equipped for water cooling? if so, how? One end of the copper pipe is closed...

No, it isn't 'equipped' for water cooling. The copper pipe just transfers heat to the upper part of the fins.
I'll be posting details of my air cooled heatsinks soon (once I've finished the first of my current batch).
My opinion is that unless you are prepared to use refrigeration or cryo-technology, air cooling is better than liquid cooling (well, certainly simpler)
