i received a lot of misc stuff a while ago from a silent key. a lot of the homebrew stuff are single tube recivers. i am only beginnign to get into tubes. So far what i can tell is the missing tubes are detectors, its im assuming a regenerative set. There are plugin coils a lot with some of the sets. Most of the sets have seperate heater and plate power supply conections.
My problem is i have a dozen or so diffrent designs and i cant find any scematics on single tube radios online to even help refrence to. Id like to use two of the to make my own and create my first radio.

For receivers my personal favorites are:
 and
My favorite tube transmitter is a modified version of this one: The version I built was for 30 meters.
There are a variety of single and two tube designs out there, it just takes some patience to dig them up. I've found old tube electronics books from ebay are about the best source for some cool old designs.

I built the exact reciever that Dave pointed out last year. I followed the article exactly and posted here about it: http://old.4hv.org/index.php?board=19;action=display;threadid=5466
I was actually listening to it last night as a matter of fact. I did change the "virtual ground" to mains ground. I am also playing around with a few changes an old ham (really old) said I should try.
