It looks like they sell to individuals, by the specs this looks excellent, like that yellow thin stuff for insulating transformers. I find silicones the most difficult to get, except for the tub and tile stuff.

This stuff might be just what we need...or it might turn out to be useless. I'm going to order some tomorrow and find out.
One reason I ended up concentrating my efforts on segmented windings rather than layer windings, was the problems I was having working with the various types of layer insulation I experimented with.
Anyway, another potentially positive feature might be the 20 mil thickness - it should help reduce the field stress and lower the capacitance.

I've already spent so much time (and money) on building a transformer...I say what's a little more?
Actually, it's been a learning experience where I'm trying to teach myself basic machining and at the same time trying to design and build a mechanically rugged, electrically robust, high powered, highly efficient HV transformer.
And, finally, it's almost done now, as I've found what appears to be the perfect epoxy to encapsulate it with, but this silicone tape stuff has me really curious...

Maybe this is the perfect tape for making fryback transformers? Anyone want to try, because I'm not spending another 20 something hours winding one...
...although, using only 1 layer of tape would cut down on the time dramatically...
