I'm sick of looking up formulas, so I'd like to make a "little black book" of all the electrical formulas, or as many as I possibly can.
I'm in a hurry ATM but here's what I've got so far (it was on my clipboard):

CW Output Voltage:
Eout = Ein * √2 * n
Eout is the output voltage
Ein is the RMS input voltage
n is the number of stages in the multiplier

CW Sag under load:
Edrop = I / ( f * C ) * (2/3 * n ³ + n ²/2 - n /6)
Edrop is the voltage drop
I is the current drawn in amperes
f is the frequency in hertz
n is the number of stages
C is the size of the capacitors used in farads

CW Ripple under load:
Eripple = I / ( f * C ) * n * (n +1)/2
Eripple is the voltage ripple
I is the current drawn in amperes
f is the frequency in hertz
n is the number of stages
C is the size of the capacitors used in farads

Ohm's law
E = I * R
E is voltage volts
I is current in amps
R is resistance in ohms

I'd like to make this a collaborative effort, so 4HV please dump all your formulas here! (and define what the variables are too)

Good idea, but Arcstarter beat you to it. Look at the top thread in this forum (in the area that stays on top).

What Klugesmith says is true, but many of the posts in the sticky above are just external links. If Grenadier were to limit this thread to text and formulas here with no external links ( or external links only as a citation or reference) this would be a worthy pursuit.

Alright then, no external links.

1 coulomb is the amount of charge that 1 amp carries in one second.

1C = 1A * 1s

So nobody is interested in this? I planned on getting all of these formulas together and publishing them in a little black book. Anyone who helps gets their name in the book somewhere.

E = 1/2 * U^2 * C

Where
E = Energy in capacitor in joules
U = Voltage in capacitor in volts
C = Capacitor capacitance in farads

P = I X E

Where P equals wattage,
I equals current
and E equals voltage
