Just wondering what 4HV uses for a chicken stick.

Hardly a 'chicken stick,' but these Knipex glass-reinforced plastic gripping pliers are what I use when dealing with live wires can't be avoided:

Well, not really a picture i can use to show the function of my stick. But this is for my tesla coil. It has a breakout point that forces a streamer to kick out the top, and it has a scanner FL =D

I use pvc pipe with a metal tip at the end, and the wire is a coaxial cable with the outer layer grounded, but only the inner conducting current. There is aquarium tubing surrounding all the cable, from end to end.

Last time i used a "chicken stick" it was in the shape of a broomstick with a wire taped onto it. Simple but it worked ok for the short time it was needed.
