I know that you're supposed to use several capacitors for the tank circuit, but will Mica caps work well for this as well? I have a .5 MFD 1000 Volt PK 360 PK Amp max mica capacitor, and was wondering if this would fit the bill well. And, is it okay to mix cap types, like using my mica cap and some MKP ones as well? Thank you!

It might work, but I wouldn't mix capacitors. They will conduct current differently, and one of them might blow, causing an avalanche reaction that destroys all of them if your power level is too high.
I used all of the same kind here
I think I still have a box of 20 unused ones. I would have to look up the values.

Mica capacitors have significantly higher dissipation factors than polypropylene BUT they can tolerate much higher operating temperatures, since you have the capacitor use it but do a short run first & check the capacitor temperature. Mica caps can safely boil water.
