Long trs connector

As you can see by this picture, a standard 1/2" * 1/8" trs connector doesn't quite make it. Does anyone know where I can find one that is about 1/4" longer?

A mono jack is OK.

Couldn't you grind down the threads on the front part to make it reach? Looks like there's plenty to spare..

No because then the plastic would be in the way.
