TL949 calculations arn't working out right

I'm am trying to calculate the resistance of Rt to get 110khz, but before i tried this i was gonna work the given example on the data sheet, It was gonna find the resistance of Rt to get 20khz if Ct = .001uf

here is the equation Rt= 1.1/fxCt

Rt=1/[(20x10^3)x(.001x10^-6)=50k ohms, but the answer i get is... 0 angry

Then i go to a different calculator and i get 3.94796328 × 10-18 blah blah blah blah blah!

I need some help mistrust

Assuming that you left off a bracket by mistake (there is supposed to be an additional one in front of the =) I imagine you are screwing up the operator precedence (not going to explain that here, just look it up). With windows calculator in scientific mode I'd enter it like this :

exp
3
x
0.001
exp
-6
=
1/x

Maybe you should just get a graphing calculator where you can enter this kind of stuff as is :)

You left out the 10 before the exponent, what would be the value of Rt If i need 110khz and the value of Ct equals .001uf?

No, I didn't ... exp includes that. If you wanted to explicitly do 20x10^3 you'd do :

If your first formula is correct you need 10 kOhm.
