I pulled these out of a sever 2 yeas ago. It's 2 SMPS's and a combine. Each one supplies 35A@5V, 22A@12V, 15A @ 3.3V. Combined it gives a crapload of power. The model #'s dps-300hb

Problem is I have no clue ho to control these. So what should I do with them? If I can't think of a use I may (attempt) use the parts in one to make a DC-DC converter for my x-ay machine.

I would try to plug it in and find the ground pin and and play guess the pin in till it turns on normally it's a green wire in computer psu. I would'nt worry about damaging it they normally have a short protection in it and will turn off if you short it. This how I do it ith computer psu for a power supplies for projects
Hope this helps

They are computer controlled with a db-15 connector. The ground wire tick doesn't work.

I opened one up and they are loaded with pats. I see one 450 fet and a LDO voltage regulator, and a few other goodies including a mains filter. There's also some unknown things buried in the heatsinks.

I'm debating on whether to part them out or not. I could use the 2 450s in them to make a half bridge plasma speaker, but HERE DO THE 18V ZENERS GO? Link2
And by back to back does he mean antiseries?

Edit: OOO two 450s per supply. :D And power supplies always have top-quality fets, not that junk distributors sell to us.

Edit2:
3x dual 10A schottky S60SC4M
A couple dual diodes
3x 19A schottky 19TQ015
A 3A Variable Output Low Power-Loss Voltage Regulator PQ30RV31
-12 & -5v LDO regulators
2 more big fets, buried. They start with irfp though...

Edit3:
They're 460's. I had buried treasure in my basement. :D

HERE DO THE 18V ZENERS GO?

You should know this by now tongue. Think about it, you want to protect the gate by not letting the voltage get too high. Back to back is anti-series, and the supply for the gate is the GDT... Where do you think the zeners should go to limit the voltage on the GDT?

If you still can't figure it out, check other bridge schematics, there are 100's of sites with bridges, like Steve Ward's website.

i wouldnt part them out, oh man are those beautiful, i would figure out the power good signal , you aint going to get two of the same PSU's of that quality again. i would use them wisely.

i had 18 of the ATX type PSU not as good as yours , and not made by delta, but the -5vsb(white) went too a +5 PG (green) pin and they started up but needed a minium load of 12 ohms across the 3.3V wires, they work fine as bench top psu's.

so your ground wire trick may not be useful.

Too late, I already parted out one...
I'll save the other, but I tried petty much everything to get it to start up. Even your method.

Besides, you can buy one for $20. Link2

Edit: 14 bux + $0 shipping. Link2

The parts alone are worth more.
