found this on google images, is it "reasonable" to be able to run a 3 phase 12 mot stack off this? with obviously a bicker brick of IGBT?
if not maybe a 6 stack, plus this picture is such a bad resolution on my monitor i can't read the components, maybe some one with a better monitor, could make this schematic readable on a crt.

What is the point of using three phase? People usually use 3 phase because you can get more power. With three phase with MOTs you have to rectify each phase, anyway. If you are using single phase to power a 3 phase converter, you won't get any more power than with single phase.

If you look back in the history of electrical power transmission, you will see that Edison invented the 3-wire balanced circuit which reduced the pounds of copper per watt needed.
The polyphase power system can transmit more power per pound of copper than the single phase system can.

Error: Radiotech said: "If you look back in the history of electrical power transmission, you will see that Edison invented the 3-wire balanced circuit which reduced the pounds of copper per watt needed." Tesla was who invented the 3-wire systems. And was in a fight with Edison, who sustained that DC were better than AC.
