I am just curious to hear from some of the audiophiles on this board...

a friend was asking if I could pull up some Nelson Pass plans and build a class A amp.

Has anyone done this? Has anyone built the Aleph?

I've not built any Nelson Pass amps, but have built both John Linsley-Hood's class 'A' designs (1969, and 1996)
Very pleased I was, with them, too. You have to turn off the central-heating!
Lots of info here:-

You really need to join diyaudio.com - by far the largest forum for self-build audio of pretty much any type - mainly genuine engineers - highly (very highly) active - very little "noise".

They have an entire sub-forum devoted just to Pass Labs self-build - see Link2 - many 100s have been built and documented. Everything you ever wanted to know and more...

Edit: Should have pointed out that Nelson Pass himself hangs out there and contributes regularly.

Been a member over there for years - good site.

Cheers
