Looking around on eBay, i found this big X-ray suspension.
Just the bearings and circuit boards i see would be worth the 10 bucks, and i would like some misc steel to practice welding on, but it would be shipped freight, so it wouldn't be worth it.
Anyway, i was wondering what all would be inside this thing? Sure its a mechanical suspension, but what is that inverter looking board for? It has 2 5 amp 240v fuses, so is there something more to this than i can tell? It seems like there would be something inside of it, and my curiosity got the best of me.
Either way, i will not purchase it, anything that requires a skid would cost alot to ship. Just curious is all.

I'm not sure what it is either (I repair Dental X-ray heads) but I would guess that it's some sort of support device that attaches a medical X-ray tube head and electronic image intensifier (possibly a camera too) from a ceiling gantry. You might see something like this in the X-ray room of a hospital. I don't see any X-ray electronics attached to it, so it just may be the mechanical support with a few electrical devices for power and control. Again, just guessing.
At 500 pounds shipping weight, this beast would be fairly expensive to ship.
