Testing flyback transformers?

I just stopped by the local recylying center today and picked up 2 moniters and a newish tv. I pulled the flybacks and I'm wondering how I can check whether or not they're rectified or even just check if they're operational. Any one have any suggestions?

Hello, Welcome to 4HV.org :) to check if there rectifyed look @ the pictures below
DC flyback transformer:

an AC transformer looks more "bare bones" and has little or no epoxy
as for checking if they work the simpleist way i know short of useing your own home made flyback driver is by following this tut:
