I am not a webpage designer, but I have written a small informational one Link2

I work at a hospital and there are many patients seeking information about weight loss so I put together a site to give people a basic understanding about the topic as it relates to surgical options. My question is what features would make this a better and more intesting site? Do I need more information? Should I have more pictures and diagrams? What about a surgical video or would that be too much information?

I also thought about putting a cgi-bin routine to calculate one's mass index. Would that be useful? Any thoughts you guys have would be appreciated because I would like to make this very informative for people seeking the help.

hmm, a simple little calc to give you your bmi might be good, although I would also include whatever the value for 'dangerously low' is as well.

Also, in general, I would stress that surgery isn't the only option, or usually the best option...

Otherwise I would say it is informative and written well...

I would make the title a little larger (maybe put it in

tags). Also at the bottom (at the very end) you put a link on a period. You might also add how long the surgery will take and if there are any limitations after returning home (I would think just no sports). Other than that I think it is very informative and to the point.

I would perhaps make the section headings stand out a bit more, perhaps make them bold and a larger size.
Links to other informative websites is usually a good idea
You've done the right thing in keeping it text based with simple formatting
