In several situations, I have wanted to make a certain waveform and play it. I know exactly what the wave looks like, but I can't figure out how to synthesize it from a sin/sqr wave or turn it into an equation like all the tone generators I can find require.
Is there a program that I can *draw* and edit a soundwave like a graphic? I'd also like to be able to edit music this way, where I can just draw in or draw out stuff. Anybody?

I don't know of any... But wouldn't it be relatively strait forward to edit a .wav file with the correct samples?
I remember watching an old tv show where this guy had an ancient computer (it had a monochrome green display) that would play a graph of time vs frequency...
It wouldn't surprise me if cooledit would let you drag the samples around... I don't have it installed anywhere convient, so I can't tell for sure.
