Hi all. I've been having major problems with phosphors peeling off ITO coated glass and plastic.
it seems that something strange happens when the phosphor is coated, have found that it often works initially but forms dead spots shortly afterwards and then peels off the following day.
I did find that mixing it with tyre repair compound somewhat works, perhaps this could be useful to someone if tried with the "homemade zinc sulphide" method, or for mixing with various dielectrics such as BaTiO3.
am going to try with Proud Mary's stannous chloride on plain glass and see if this works any better (it should)
Interesting conductive thread seems to work well if enamelled clock wire is wrapped around it..

Suggestions: yes:
1. Etch the glass surface with ammonium bifluoride.
2. Wait till I send you some TEA (as complexing agent) and add a drop of it to the SnCl2 aerosol solution.
3. When the aerosol mist has dried off, set the microscope slide on a pipe clay triangle on a tripod, and slowly heat the glass to dull red - pyrolisis - and then gradually cool in an annealing flame for managed cooling to reduce locked in stresses.
If you don't like this method, you can do it in the smoked fish manner, but this is much less efficient, and produces a much less even finish.
