Post pictures of all the odd parts you have and come across. Odd defined as old or "different". Hopefully this thread will attract a lot of attention. I love old/odd parts!

Here's what I have. I didn't spend too much time on the pics so excuse me of they're a little blurry/noisy.

My 5 Victoreen glass tube resistors. These are handmade and non-standard kiliohm values.

Adjustoroid variable inductor.

An old (70's?) 7 segment display.

A HDSP 0960 7 segment display

Unknown ceramic diodes.

One of my really old op amps.

BT83 Hydrogen Thyratron

1286832894 543 FT0 Bt83 Choice

The oddity with this funky little H2 thyratron is the ceramic shield forming a cap on the glass envelope - a detail seldom seen.

Only a baby as thyratrons go, but packed full of meaty goodness, as the dog food commercials say:

PIV max 2kV
Max peak anode current 200A
Max rise Va 1500V/us
PRF max 2500 pps
Heater 6.3V 11.5A

A neat new old stock 4029 was found today. It looks like one of the first CMOS logic chips made.

I have a few bits of odd stuff lying around, but this has to be the oddest component i ever come across.

According to this datasheet, it is a NPN silicon RF power transistor. It does not show much info about it, im not even sure this is the right datsheet! Oh well, I don't think Ill ever use it for anything just because it looks odd cheesey

If you do a Google Images search for "RF Power Transistor" you'll find many others like it. RF is another country; they do things differently there.

A diode from the days when people were competent enough to fix their own radios, and stuff was made in the USA.

I am not sure all those are hold enough to come here ,I get them from a closing electronic shop ,I was looking for triode for vttc but had no reference in mind and I don't know to much about tube eider, most of those tube are penthode exempt the ed500 but it give me some idea :is it possible to use them as electrostatic speaker amplifier? they are 25 kv rated triode, that might mean no transformer needed!!could be interesting ...if any body recognize any of those tube and can tel me what they are good for, that would be nice...

And the diode probably cost about a week's wages. tongue

Then I must be one rich SOB because I have 5 of them. tongue It's a 1N3022B 12V zener.

Here's another part from the days when people weren't dumb and radioshack actually sold radios.
