I'm seeing things I've seen before, and havnt seen. I have the Mini SSTC.
First, I've seen this before. My coil, when going over 30VAC input, it starts out when a 300hz interupted sound. Then after 30VAC, it goes off and shoots arcs out every second or so. RG interference? Last fix: Put decoupling on 555 timers. Done. But, it's doing it AGAIN. And I have decoupling capacitors on my 555s, and my driver. The only thing I can guess for now, is the fact that my CT has a 6" distance from the CT, to the driver. The CT that tunes the coil, goes on the secondary's ground wire. So, this is one issue. After 30V, it just kilsl out. If i tap it lower, like 4 turns, it kills out at 15VAC.
Issue 2. I've never had this. When my coil starts to shoot streamers, the LEDs and fans actually dim. That's how i actually tell that my coil is working now. But if I turn duty higher, it dims them a lot, and commonly wont break out. Do mosfets demand a LOT more gate current when they are usign more duty? the feed is staying above 14VAC...which is regulated to 12V and 5V. Regulators are rated 1A or so...And I do have 4 fans, 8 LEDS, drivers, GDT, and mosfet gates connected to it. My only thought was that I dont have enough power.
Please let me know what you think! Any clarification, please ask! My last Mini SSTC did 28 inches. Then I took it all apart. USING THE SAME PARTS, i put together this acrylic case, added the fans/leds and changed from 2400uF tripler capacitors, to 1000uF tripler capacitors.
Wooo flash overs! I put glue on the top, to connect the disc and the tube. It failed =D Bridge still works.

Definitely buff up your logic supply. What I do is put the fans before the regulators, they usually take up to 20V just fine (they will get warm much faster). An easy way to confirm this is to run the coil CW with no bridge power, and measure the current draw from your logic supply. More than 800mA and I would consider getting some backup for your regulators. Depending on the frequency of your coil the gate driver section alone can consume a decent amount of real power.
As for issue 1 I'm tempted to think it's linked to issue 2, but I haven't played with that many coils to say for sure.

Hmmm..New power supply did help. I think it would help too, if I made the CT wires shorter, or at least twisted. Oddly I have decoupling capacitors on my 555 bustmode interupter...However, the Audio modulator works good. My latest youtube video was all Audio modulated. I was able to do 90VAC, after cutting 5 turns off the primary. On 555 mode however, it still craps out a tad. Not as bad. The 555/audio modulator is on its own 12V psu, and is fully isolated by the SSTC with a optoswitch. Audio modulator makes good quality sound, so it's not that. Picture below is a FL-Studios instrument, which has lots of changing frequency/duty.(18" arc)
I will say, I need to find a 120V to ~500V transformer. I'm using a voltage tripler of 1200uF capacitors on each stage. Last time I had 2400uF, and it drew a TON of current, and gave me 28" streamers. This time, it draws under 1A at all times, and gives SO FAR 18" streamers. Still tuning. I know already whats going on. It charges to 400V. then when an arc shoots out, that 400V instantly kills down to maybe...250V. As 2400uF, it stayed up longer, allowing the arcs to burst out farther.
