I was thinking more along the lines of the bank turning someone into a red mist ill

As cautious as I am with low voltage, this isn't really one of those situations where the experimenter hasn't seen what a high power system can do. Ive seen SLA batteries melt 6 gauge wire, inch thick rods, stuff like that. Ive seen a wire melt through the plastic casing of one of these batteries but I managed to save it before it melted through the entire casing. The scariest thing was when I hooked up 13 of these batteries in parallel to 2 large aluminum blocks, separated by a piece of lexan, secured with electrical tape. The bank powered a 500W inverter and was able to power a TV and an xbox 360 on a 14 hour 2 way trip to Atlanta Georgia from Flint Michigan :)

No fuse on that 13 battery bank either, if they shorted, everyone would run to the front of the bus and jump out. Maybe next time a fuse would have been smart.

I'd like to keep my age confidential, but I do have a car, a job, and a drivers license.
