It's great to watch somebody -else- doing that climb!
Not hardly the same thing, but here's a video of somebody free-climbing a short tower from the operator's seat of a hydraulic backhoe. As in the radio tower, the holds are solid and well spaced.

The height wouldnt bother me one bit. What would is the 'free climbing' because the only time you are semi-safe, is what you take a break and put the hook over any object.
The 'steps' at the last climb, the antenna, are rather small xD They look like they just used bolts :P Im sure they have training..Like sections of the tower on ground, like the antenna, so they know what to do on their first time...

Reading the replies makes me feel different! I guess to some that is the nice things about people. We are all different. Am I the only one who watched the whole video without feeling sick...or any other emotions? My only thoughts were... "wow, look at the view!" "hehe, you can see above the clouds!" "ehh..those foot steps on the antenna climb are small..."
I thought it was a cool, exciting video. Good view!

You know, I'd be just as cautious if I were 50ft up, either way you're dead if you fall. Needless to say that takes guts! I always thought they were required to be secured by at least one harness at all times.
