i already made one with the red magnet wire from radio shack, i used a role and a half. It draws longer arcs but there not as hot as i wanted.

Hi LittleVenture, those sparks are beautifully hot maby 5000v. Do you know if your coil is resonant or is in transformer mode Vo=(sec windings / primary windings)X Vin

i dont think so, i found these little plastic tubes at a hardware store so i can wind different coils for different thins. i made one with one role with 22 gage and 40 ft and it would melt nails as soon as i would draw the arc. how do i make my flyback resonant or put it in transformer mode. cheesey thank you

350 sec/5+5 primary x 19volts = 665 volts? that doesn't seem right.
