 		Thanks for the tips. These Spectrol pots are real nice, but at US$ 84, I will look at a cheaper alternative.
The cable to the coils is the next design challenge that I need to resolve. Your tip about varying the conductivity of the wires might just come in handy there.

I am thinking of using shielded twisted pairs.
