Apologies for the recent downtime, all. The server has a failing hard drive, and my server management people have been extremely unhelpful in getting it replaced. Looks like I will be moving to a new server and new company pretty soon. I've found a great new place that will give me an equivalent server at the same price I'm paying now, but with more bandwidth, a proper backup drive, and neat tools like KVM over IP, so that I can fix almost any problem myself from here on out.
The new datacenter is also a "green" datacenter. For just $9 per year, the server can be made completely carbon neutral by purchasing offset credits. I realize there are a lot of differing opinions about carbon offsetting and climate change, but I thought I'd put it out there for anyone who feels strongly about the issue. Anyone who donates for this purpose will be listed in the donor's list in green, and I'll post here when we've met the $9 goal. Anything in excess of $9 will either be refunded, used to make the site carbon-negative, or used for general upkeep costs -- donor's choice. Just note when you make the donation what your preference is if there's any excess.
