heh.. although i'd have gone for a slightly higher number.
look here for the current data as of a few months back. interestingly they now think that there may be even heavier particles which could be detected with the LHC.

might be a while, they have a *lot* of data to trawl through.
needless to say, joining the LHC@Home cluster computing group might be an idea, put those surplus gigaflops to good use. supposedly a PS3 is about equivalent to a quad core Q6600 when running flat out. and then there's the graphics card version, some of the newer Nvidia cards can top out at ten times the maximum speed of the newest quad cores for certain subsets of data.
