Can someone who knows better explain how the output of this gadget can be over 600 000 volts ?

In short, it cant. Its odd that stun gun manufacturers have gotten away with this marketing ploy for years.

What is a rise time of voltage amplitude of these devices?Maybe, with new generation of stun guns it
is much shorter...

I have a secondary here from one of these, looks like it puts out at most 20KV assuming the peak voltage rises high enough to jump the gap.

(before anyone asks it has been "butchered" by me so the prod on one side is shortened so no longer suitable for its original intended purpose... ! )

these could however be useful for driving small Lifters and other projectsrequiring pulsed HV, such as stimulating N2 TEA lasers.

Hahaha, this part made my day...

"Currently Available In
STEALTH JET BLACK ,
AWESOME PURPLE
And FASHION PINK"

Also the part where the 4500000 Volt stun gun delivers at 11 mA... That is 49500W delivered from your hand :D

I have seen some real ones, used in county facilities.
I even have a little "house of horrors" myself. When I had a chance to buy a serious example; I had done so many years backs.

One was a 5K unit with 5ma & was marketed by Correctional Corp. of America. Another was a horror device of a belt that went about a man's waste and had a "control" unit that shocked him in the kidneys if he was not compliment. I believe that was similar strength. Both were taken off the market about 10+ yrs back and I even have some clippings & advertising about them. Really ugly stuff.

I have two cattle prods (no longer mfg). One made by "Hot Shot corp" in the USA with 150ma 750-1500v adjustable. Another is an unknown manufacturer that again uses CD to a label of "2000 volts! Possibly lethal upon human contact: Use only on adult animals in good condition"

Another is a South African baton made of extremely strong aluminum, fiberglass and steel re-enforcement that bares a cautionary label: "unfortunately may burn exterior of inmate: use only with gloved hands!". Current / voltage unknown. The last in this grotesque collection was a device taken off the market (again from Correctional Corporation of America) A 5000 volt "inmate compliance device"; promoted as the "most sure method of non-impact compliance in violent assault". It was built in a molded epoxy-like staff that looks like you could drop it off a bridge. It uses 4"C" cell batteries. Taser in Phoenix was just starting to make inroads in that market niche at that time.
Needless to say it would be a cold day in Hell before I used a item like that on an animal. But they may one day be worth some money as a curio or collector's item.
In fact I even have the Amnesty International's 2 reports on Correctional Corp's export of these very devices to third world countries as torture devices. That was a very ugly business.

Take care that stun guns aren't illegal in your jurisdiction, as they are in the UK.
