So I pulled a "superflyback" from a TV. It's pretty dang big. I need to build a ZVS driver to test it out. Already found the internal primary and the HV ground has its own wire. (thin one in back)

I think mine may be bigger than yours wink

If you get your zvs running you should definitely put up some pics!

This flyback looks similar to my (rear projection?) 40" TV I chucked a rock at. Pic below!

Biggest one I have, largest core flyback I have too. The only issue is it sucks. I cant draw arcs because terminals arc. Going to hot-glue it.

Got another one!
The three wires are all one output. Neither of these flybacks have those focus knobs. They were external.

And Killa-X, If you're having problems with arcing... Link2
They sell it at most hobby and craft stores.

Odium, where did you get that one!?
I still have to figure out a way to order the parts for a zvs.

*shoves a fist up PayPal's nostril*

I am having problems with paypal aswell tongue.

As for ZVS parts... If you can get a bunch of boards from TVs you could find the parts to make one. This monitor i have has 4 irf640's, tons of fast diodes (which you can find on every monitor and TV that uses semiconductors), plenty of resistors (even enough to parallel for the higher wattage resistors), and inductors that would either work, or that i could rewind to make work.

TV's rarely have more than one power mosfet, if any at all.

Then again, i have at least 20 circuit boards from TV's and monitors, so you may not find a board with suitable parts. But, you should at least get the inductor, 10k resistors, and fast diodes for the ZVS driver from a circuit board to save money.

When i get a circuit board, i usually spend at least half an hour finding the datasheets for the components. I am a die-hard datasheetcatalog fan cheesey

Every datasheet I look up goes into a folder in my documents.
I typically get parts from pcbs as well, but I can't do any mass soldering at the moment --my blowtorch is somewhere along the I-90.
