I have a rather old power supply, 0-24V, with an analog multimode meter (can select V or I) I actually really liked this power supply, rather then my SMPS, mosly because ive abused the crap out of this one and it still works well.
the supply is made by HP, and its a 6201B DC supply,

anyone else here have something simular to this?

Nice unit. Did you get the manual?

As long as it works it will be good where you cannot tollerate RFI.

All of the manuals for that vintange HP were microfiched years ago, however to get a copy involved some extraordinary steps to peel back the front end mouthpieces to conact the bench techs.

Dont abuse it too hard, unless you have a set of the transistors handy.

I looks like something that a school physics lab might get rid of during the yearly cobweb cleanout of things never used anymore.

unforchantly I do not have a manual, but you having said that, Ill start searching and try to get a paper copy somehow,

Id like to think that because of the simplicity involved in this supply (no chips like big chips like SMPS, or optical units, etc), it has survived so far very well powering flybacks and other junk like that.

this supply has quite a bit of history before ive got it, so it prooved itself robust and reliable over the years of its lifetime.
