Dear all.
I feel so awfull.
Wednesday afternoon, my wonderfull 23 year old daughter went out jogging. She was like me, she could venture out into the world with her mind and attention somewhere else.
She ran across the street and was hit by a truck. She died almost instantly, was resurrected by passers by, but died an hour later at the hospital, due to the severe injuries to her head.
I am in deep grief, and feel I have to share it with you all.

Pls. no PM's but words of comfort here in this thread.

Yours, Finn Hammer

Aw grief, Finn!

Please keep your chin up and continue to kick butt in everything you do. I'm sure you will be a pillar of strength for those around you during this rough time. Perhaps a more equitable world awaits.

Wow, I don't know what to say. I can't say I know what you are going through at all but I do believe you can take great comfort in your memories of her. It is with those memories that she may live on.

Hi Finn,
I'm so sorry to hear of your very sad loss,
and the overriding feeling of intense emotional pain
that you're going through right now.
some comfort can be found by talking about her and her life
or writing can sometimes be a helpful release of some grief.
take all the time out needed and try to let your friends and family
help you.

Take care,
Mel

All kind words are appreciated, but of course, the most important thing is: If you are so inclined, say a prayer for Sara's soul in this time of turmoil.

Love, Finn

Hi Finn,

I feel so bad about your loss, and my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sara was a wonderful person, and she will always have a special place in my heart. Thru her I met a wonderful friend, a mentor in life and electonicst, and I will always be thankful for that. She will live on in the hearts and minds of the people she knew.

Your Friend, Daniel

my dearest sympathy for you and your daughter, it is a tragedy to see a life cut drastically short.
But it is said that the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and I'm sure she has given you so much you can still cherish for the rest of your life.

May she rest in peace.
