I have to get rid of it. My father is the one forcing it on me. I cannot keep it.

I have tried to sell it a couple times on the forum, but as i said it is not a practical purchase for anybody, the shipping or gas+time are worth more than the transformer itself. Not to mention it is 7.6kv, when 14.4 is usually preferred.

You could ask the lead-hand of the line crew for the power company in your city to just come and get it. Contact these folks and talk to them Link2

if i lived near this place you call "beaumont, texas" that thing would be gone in a second.

also, i to know how unfortunate, it is to have the family say: "oh, thats gotta go"

bury it, then dig it up when you think of a use for it and realise how stupid it would be to take it apart.

Honestly, if I had one of those things I would do everything I could to keep it. Find out why they want you to get rid of it, and then come up with an alternative solution. If it is just that it is ugly then find a way to hide it from sight, build something over it if you have to.

If you include delivery of the pig, sure.

I have a few 60V 320A isotops I'd be willing to split with.

But really, if you MUST get rid of it... :\ I'd hate to say salvage it but...
