Those perforated boards with copper parallel lines are quite convenient for constructions, and the result is not messy. Lines in one direction use the board, and in the other direction use jumpers. No wires under the board.
irf530 for transistors? whats the max power of the driver with these? my driver is built with these cheap transistors and the output arc can be seen here The power supply is 24v. And the 10k resistors can be under 2w. My capacitor is 0.68 uF wima red color.

Okay i used...
2 x IRFP250 - 2 x Ultrafast diodes STTH1R04 - 2 x 15v 5W Zeners 1N5352BG - 1 x 680nf 850v MKP capacitor PP - And the resistors were just stated values of 470ohm and 10k, both of them were 2W and the inductor was one i pulled off an inverter microwave board.

What I used was the aluminum tape that many use to make a TC Toroid with. I took a perfboarf (that was just a stripped Ethernet card) and cut out my little PC-board design with the tape (made it much thicker than a profession trace however) and soldered it up. It worked quite well. When I completed it and all was working - I covered it with clear lacquer. That way it was compact and the heat-sink could be attached via small screws.
I've never seen anyone succeed soldering anything to aluminum, it's inherently unsolderable. So pics or it didn't happen!
