Okay, my last thread on this disappeared when the site crashed, so here it is again. A list of Vladimiro Mazzilli ZVS driver parts. Just to ensure they are the right ones.. or that they would at least work as i don't want to spend the money needlessly. so any feedback is appreciated.

1x Inductor -

2x IRFP250 -

2x Zener Diodes -

2x Fast Diodes -

2x 10k 2 watt resistors -

2x 470ohm 2 watt resistors -

1x 680nf capacitor -

That looks like what I ordered (scavenged) and mine worked: put out a nice thick arc, no thin blue line there.... My second one I wound my own coil and borrowed a meter to test it and it put out about 100+ Uh & I think it worked a bit better. I went a bit stronger on the power MOSFETS & felt better about running higher input.

What MOSFET's did you end up using? i plan on running this around 50V so i need to keep everything fairly big, and yeah i was thinking of winding my own inductor.. i feel i need to order enough stuff from them in one order to justify the postage though. lol

I really looked for you but it was pulled from some existing application and I can't read the MOSFET numbers. When I originally pulled them I used a magnifier to find the numbers and they were a bit tougher - marginally higher than 33A 200v as the IRFP250 is.
Since your using MOUSER - it will be pretty easy; just look up "power MOSFETS" and find where the IRFP250 is on a page listing and find a model with greater voltage & current handling capabilities (they have page listing capabilities with "hunting" criteria.).

But realistically 200v & 33a is pretty tough. I think that also the price from MOUSER for the IRFP250 is like $4 and getting even tougher ones is a jump in price. It MAY be a better idea to just buy 4 or 6 of them in case you blow them out by some quirk. But if you think you won't go much higher than 50v & maybe 20a I wouldn't bother.

I have a Lamda power supply (I got real lucky!) that can put out up to 150a and wanted to try using as much as I could and not blow the flyback (came to about 25a and then it started to get VERY hot.)

I encourage you to wind the inductor. Especially if you can find a meter at some electronics store to "test" it in a demonstration (they are really expensive, usually a capacitive and Henry meter are in one unit). If you do actually buy an inductor at a given level (let's say 47uh) then you could go by a very rough estimate of wire size, turns, & size of toroid to give you an approximation of what you have....

Thanks but im not going to use mouser, Farnell would be cheaper
Can anyone tell me if this cap is right? ive had trouble finding the right one

I don't see why that cap would not work.

And, I wasn't suggesting that you purchase from mouser. I was just supplying you with a list of parts that seemed to work well for me. You could purchase any of those items at a wide variety of places.

When you get all of your parts, there is a decent pcb design floating around on the forums.
