Yes! Precisely, I want everything yellow to be copper. The ring will be new, as I fear the sharp edges may cause the oil to be punched through. Then there is another copper shield that attaches to the bottom of the HV cap, for the LV cap and electronics.

yeah, i plan to build it after my next math test and programming test, but i wish i had an e-field simulator. the simulator could help me visulize the field shape and intensity.

I need some fellow expert HV'ers to evaluate what is seen in this pic.
Im trying to figure out how this probe and the North-Star probes work, the North-star pdf shows a simple graphic of a rc-rc volatage divider, but its very simplified graphic. the team tech one seems to be very different then mine. I really need to figure this out. I wonder if the North-Star ones are assembled in a similar way?
Caddock logo is clearly visible, i belive the left side tube shows caps and resistors in series and the right side shows a 90Kv caddock resistor. it's interesting to see clear plastic and no visible shield.
Here below is a previous post from within my thread, for background.

Sorry, I missed why you cant just use a high voltage probe.
Normal high voltage probes have a very low frequency response.
I usually use voltage probes from this company they can do 8 MHz at 550 kV, I dont know how high your frequency is though.
Wow! Impressive, and presumably expensive kit! Here's a permanent copy of the pdf for future reference
Here's all they say about the internals at the web site: Low temperature and voltage coefficient resistors and capacitors are used throughout the probe to provide maximum measurement accuracy. The probe has a rugged nylon housing, and it is filled with dielectric oil for maximum high voltage stability.
EDIT: But I just found this Probe Manual there which should make a worthwhile read:
