What are the pros and cons of NST's, MOT's, Pole Pigs and OBIT's. For a large coil, it seems that 2 MOT's hooked up in a series arrangement would work nice. I only have 2 25ma 15kV NSTs, and i'm not sure i want to spend all the money to get some more. I can't afford to get a pole pig shipped.

These are conventional, iron-core (e.g. heavy) transformers? I don't think that NSTs were ever made in this rating. Are you sure you don't have (solid-state) Gaseous Tube Power Supplies?

How big of a coil do you plan to make? 50mA from the two NST's phased together wouldn't be that bad... a good start anyways, but you'd need a terry filter. Then again MOT's would be cheapest and easiest since they are fairly robust and will give you a fair amount of power. and generally come free if you wanted to upgrade to a quad MOT supply.
