I'm thinking of melting it into fishing sinkers and selling them 50c a piece.

Fishing sinkers would be a waste. There's maybe $8 or $10 worth of sinkers in that box, if I'm interpreting it's dimensions properly.

You can cast any number of interesting things out of lead with some sand, some motor oil, and positives of whatever you want to cast. Precautions have to be taken if you plan to handle whatever you cast, but it isn't too hard to be safe with it.

I think i'm just going to take it to the scrapyard, or put it in the shed forever. Unless someone wants it?

Bury something dead in it, after soldering the lid shut. Ought to keep the worms out for thousands of years.

Ought to smell like hell after thousands of years.

But seriously, any ideas? I'd like to put the lead to actual use, because short of taking a trip to Colorado and fill it up with uranium ore, it's useless to me. I'd hate to destroy it because of all the work i put into it, but it's just useless. to me now.
But back to the actual use thing. It's only worth about $80 as scrap, so i'd hate to turn it in. How i will melt it? It's hard lead so a sledgehammer should break it up nicely, and a muffin tin makes a nice ingot mold.
