Hello -
I've encountered a component availability problem here in the US, and I was wondering if any 4HV members might be able to help.
A DRSSTC controller I'm building utilizes a number of Fairchild SMD complementary MOSFETS, P/N FDD8424H. Unfortunately, every supplier in the US is out of stock, with a current leadtime of 277 days! Fairchild is out-of-stock for their sample program. I have been unable to locate an equivalent part in the required TO-252 (DPAK) package.
The only supplier I have been able to locate that actually has parts in stock is Farnell in the UK. Unfortunately, they have quoted me a $30-$40 shipping cost to get a thimble-full of these parts to the US.
So, two questions:
1. Does anyone in the US have 12-16 of these parts (FDD8424H) they would be willing to part with?
2. Is there anyone in the UK who could place an order with Farnell, then re-ship these parts in a padded envelope to the US for less than $30-$40? I'd pay all costs up-front with PayPal, etc.
Any assistance is appreciated ...... pls respond through PM.
