I am looking for a decent winding Jig for a tesla coil secondary. I would be willing to trade for same (depending on value, obviously) If Jig works but is unwanted, bulky and you want to get rid of it: I would come to some terms as well. If it's junk but works & you want it out of the house, I'd pay postage, etc. The items listed below are not junk, nor were they free, thus I don't want to just give them away. Available for trade are: Military transformers high grade sealed units (120v primary multiple secondays: 6v .5A, 6v 4A, 14v .6A, 375v .4A 375v .3A) Laser and driver (Panasonic unit) unk wattage w/ some mirrors (high quality) Old style AC LOPT (flybacks) NEW (unused) Multiple small DC LOPT's (sets of 3 or 4 exactly same) NEW (unused)
Additionally, if you have general Tesla parts: a nice primary/secondary, etc - that you want to trade I would have some interest in that also. I DO have some stuff that did NOT cost me anything that I would trade if there is an interest, for a junk-type winding jig (if you need the items). This is an enormous collection of MOTs, MWC's, quality heat sinks, assorted FETs, ceramic resistors, etc, etc. - Please PM me if you have interest or want more details.
Remember however that postage (or whatever) on a carton of MOTs would run REALLY high....

If your willing to make one there not too difficult to design. I've made my previous winders out of a 2X4 bicycle axle, and 24v screw gun/drill. The hardest part is just making a PWM for the drill which just consists of a simple 555circuit and a pot and a few diodes and a cap. I'm sure it would be a lot easier to just build one.

As much as i would like to help you, i do not know how someone would be able to ship a winding jig. Unless, we could drill the holes, measure the pieces, assemble it, and then completely disassemble it and you can reassemble.
Even then, there is a lot of wood/material that would have to be shipped, and to make it a practical size it would have to be broken way down, which means a lot of screws, and a weaker end product.
Give us an idea of how big of coils you wanted to wind.
