This old paperweight has the label typed on sticker:
SECTION OF COIL FROM SHIPSHAW 75,000 KVA G.E. GEN. NO. 5, DEC. 1949. NEW COIL INSTALLED JULY 1943
How can the voltage of this machine be found? The station was one of the largest in the world and the electricity was used to make aircraft for the war.

That power station in Kinlochleven is beautiful. Everything in order. I'll bet the engineers wear a proper uniform while working in there. Getting the Shipshaw papers is hard because IEEE wants $30. for the old papers.
