Many to choose from, what is the best phototransistor and OP-amp design, for fiber optic SSTC modulation?
So far i tryed this circuit. However, on speaker the system sounded great, no issues at all. When i plugged it to my SSTC, i was getting a lot of RF issues...And I'm not sure what's the best method to prevent this. I've put a metal can around it and it was still picking up RF. My coil is running like it was in CW, because the LM741 or something, is picking up the coils resonance frequency.
For those who want to know, I'm using a halfbridge, Mini SSTC. In the past i had no issue, but i didnt need an amp for that IR switch. This phototransistor, needs the amp, which is causing issues :( Suggestions?

Well, since i got no where far with this, I figured it would be better to go to the old style that worked for me in the past with no issues.
What type is best to get if I want to plug 5V in, and feed it to the UCC pin 3? These series have enough khz ratings for my use. I just need to know whats best...
Buffer totem pole Inverted totem pole Buffer open-collector inverted open-collector
I was thinking of this one maybe, Schmitt Trigger style. I would like to get feedback. Last i connected a optoswitch to a SSTC, ucc pin 3, it sucked because it was NOT a pair.
Also, Usually people use a 10ft fiber cable to connect a computer to a DRSSTC for audio. Is it safe to use these types of optoswitches? the 2 units are electrically separated...But physically connected. I was wondering if this can risk harm to my computer.

I was connecting my sstc directly to the computer, without any kind of isolation I think if your driver circuit is grounded, nothing can happen to your PC.

True, I'd just feel happier knowing it was safe. If I had a junk computer, I would, but all of my computers cost over 1.5K because they're gaming rigs. So I much rather not risk that, Dr. Kilovolt :) I think I'll just try the switch out, but use the buffer totem pole. This way when the LED is off, the logic output is low.

The best system ive use to date is the ST fiber RX and TX modules from OPTECH. The OPF2412T (RX) and the OPF1412T (TX) this system can be a bit pricey but I think that it's worth it the modules them self's cost about $10 each and the ST fiber cable is about $15 ( for like 10 feet) or so. They have all the amps built into the modules so you send TLL signal in one end and you get TLL out the other. The only thing is you have to take care to shield the models in a grounded metal box.
