Hey guys I' trying to repair a power supply here that has a 120v to 18v transformer in it with an open primary. Does anyone happen to have one lying around that they'd be willing to send my way (I'll happily pay postage and whatever we decide on for the actual cost).

I'm at school right now and I know I probably have one lying around somewhere at home but that doesn't help me here.

The specs would need to be 18V center tapped secondary (so 18v-0v-18v), and 110v primary. It needs to be capable of at least 1 amp output current.

Let me know if anyone has something lying around!

I will take a look, what is the tolerance on the output voltage? If I find a 20v or 25v one would it work?

You're actually looking for a 36VCT transformer then, not an 18VCT transformer as an 18VCT transformer would be (9v-0v-9v)

Now that you mention it I'm not really sure what I mean... the power supply (a wall wart) says 18V on it but the transformer itself is center tapped.

Either way, thanks ... but I found a direct replacement for relatively cheap and its got the factory cords/connectors on it already.

So could a mod please close this thread? Thanks and sorry for any bother.
