Currently interested in building a SISG coil. However when I do the search in this site I get all sorts of dead links. What is the current status of the SISG based coils. Did the technology ever advance?
I am thinking of a 5-6Kvdc @ 0.6A PSU Double radar-range MOT with doubler.

WOw, alright now I am really curious! Do you have a parts list for the BRSIG type 'gap' or a circuit diagram? because I am planning on making such a SISG type coil running 2 paralleled mots running a voltage doubler (DC).

Any more info (circuit dia) on the triggered BRISG? Looks like from the link (pics) you are using a huge IGBT brick. It is difficult to see what makes up the complete circuit. Correct me if I am wrong, this circuit runs DC, just as the SISGs right?
I am thinking of building a Demo coil here in South Korea. IGBTs are plentiful here and so are CDE caps.

I am hung up building an advanced DRSSTC at the moment, so I suggest that you dig deeper into the online documentation and develop your own design based on it.
