Hi all.
Have a DKU-5 here which is being an (insert vulgar word for waste product)

i can get something approximating a TxD, it loops back fine but RxD is being a moose.
it won't reliably receive data unless the data pins are connected together, even then it fails to work properly.
any ideas? i'm thinking optocouplers here...
