audio mod in vttc using grid 2?

i know that in tube plasma tweeters they use grid 2 mod using a transformer, but would that work on a big 1 kw vttc, much bigger than a 700volt 50 watt tesla mag. circuit? most important would that affect oper. in a bad way?
