This is where I will put my media stuff rather than into separate topics which makes it fragmented.
By way of backgound, I have a Tesla interest going back almost 40 years. It is only with the advent of the internet that I have developed the interest in documenting things for my website since 2002.
The key factor in changing things to my current path was me winning an SLR camera which allowed the use of long manual exposures to get dramatic shots of sparks. I have little interest in static sparks off a toroid but a lot of interest in how to use photographic techniques to present sparks in new and novel ways. This is NOT the same as photoshop which is something I do not own would not use it to falsify what the camera sees which is dramatic enough.
The media in various forms has shared this interest particularly in the last 2 years. Previously I avoided the media.
So, a quick run down of my media exposure. This will be updated from my Media page which has the whole lot including the news and documentary videos.

TV total of 14 TV shoots for various news and documentary articles.
Discovery Channel USA "Is it possible" April 7 2010
Discovery Channel Canada 4 different segments of about 5 mins in 2007
Maximus film 2 segments for Galileo Germany Feb 2010
Pro Sieben for Galileo Germany 2009
Novus TV Fobiac Holland 2009
Win TV news (Electrickery) went to news in 16 countries inc USA, UK, China Australia etc. A reporter with barely more than a handicam took this in 30 mins.
Win TV news (Xmas tree 2009) Australia
Today Tonight Australia Jan and March 2009
A Current Affair (Australia 2009) HV lines
Cosmology Gallery opening 2009

Magazines x 23, Books x 2.
Best is Ripleys Believe it or not.
Lots of science or just general interest mags. Even a few mens mags.

Newspapers x 9
Best would be the UK Metro page 3 2007 and the Guardian centrefold 2009.
A few local front pages etc.

Radio interviews x 7

There are 2300 websites that have links photos or discussions about my stuff. (yes I know it is tragic to document these but Google isn't good enough)

Today the events are:

Discovery USA screens tonight! At 10pm ET. Details in this thread.

I received a DVD of the Maximus segment that screened on Galileo in Germany.
Covered the exploding watermelon and the pool stuff plus a few extras. They did a mock up in a HV lab in Germany first. It also included some 3D graphics of me showing earthing paths and what happens if me (my avatar) moved the wrong hand to take the sparks.
When I get the updated web video program I use in another few weeks I will get it on my site.

Still waiting for screening of the second part of this program.

I discussed a new segment with Galileo tonight from a different production company. Might involve simulated lightning on to a car. Might have to buy a very cheap car for this. The earlier part of that program involved an incident where a parachutist lost his main chute but got the reserve out late but then landed on a 12kV line sustaining some electrical burns to the leg.

Media news for this week:
Had time to download an eBook about electricity from an Ecuadorean author in Spanish which refers to some of my stuff.
This is the cover

The German crew cancelled. They were thinking of using the lightning simulator of the car but the development time was short, their aims were not clear and the weather has gone bad here.

A literary review mag wondered about using this as a cover.

In the last 3 weeks:

Updated Media page to include videos of Discovery USA (edited to 8 mins) plus German Maximus 15 mins.

Also a promo for the second part of German Maximus/Galileo. Yes that is my tongue! I've not seen that show yet.

A couple of magazine and a physics book enquiries came through.

Had an email to consider using a Tesla Coil in a Deep Purple rock band photo shoot. They are performing tomorrow in our state capital city Perth. Logistically problems though and not likely to happen.

Invited to a steampunk convention in Sydney. This may fit in very well with my steampunk Tesla project which was on the backburner for the last 6 months. Time to drag it out and get it running in 3 months.
