Hello All,
Due to needing funds for other hobbies the DRSSTC is up for sale Here is the link

DOUBLE RESONANT SOLID STATE TESLA COIL FOR SALE UNFINISHED PROJECT.
I started building this a few years back and have lost interest in the project and am concentrating on other hobbies. This is for sale to fund these.
This project is unfinished. The coil does run and I have run upto 5 feet long arcs to ground. The problem seems to lie with the current limit control and when this cuts in it blows the main IGBT's For this reason the unit will be supplied with 2 pairs of IGBT's.
This unit needs to be run on batteries and scoped out to find bug.
Here are the details:
13" 8 turn Helical Primary Coil in 8mm copper tube supported on HDPE supports.
6" x 30" Secondary wound with 0.4mm high temp wire
320nF 5KV Tank Capacitor (white tube in picture)
Current limiting control circuit (Steve Ward boards professional etched from his design)
Half Bridge of Siemens 1200v 200A IGBT (very fast) run off 2 4400uF tank caps set up in doubler arrangement to give full bridge performance
Remote Control takes unit from 50-750pps and on time 50-250us fitted with missile launch style switches for safety. connected with full screened cable.
Topload design works very well and is constructed with Lexan (extruded polycarbonate) and 8mm copper tubing. also very original in design
All tank connections are in either solid aluminium bar or 25mm welding cable so very low loss.
Base is all 20mm HDPE
